Question by quizzed: How do International students living in the US cope without having the ability to work?

I am an international student, and I've been living miserably. I came here to make a better life but everytime I make 1 step forward, something happens to make me go 3 steps backward. I am so totally frustrated and ready to give up!

A lot of Universities have programs for international students to work on campus. With your student visa you can apply for a social security card to with on campus, things like library etc.
Of course every university might have their own policies, but mine is really great about this.
Also, maybe try doing private tutoring or language instruction. Post on boards and stuff.
good luck
