Engineers of the Cedar Bluff-based 1033rd Engineer Company and the Powhatan-based 180th Horizontal Engineer Company conduct Engineer operations at Fort Pickett June 26. Consulting firm Wilbur Smith sold to CDM

CDM is also owned by its 4,500 employees and provides consulting, engineering, construction and other services to public and private clients in water, environment, transportation and energy industries. CDM chairman Richard Fox said the two companies share a similar corporate culture and their different services will merge together well.
