How can you maintain the water in an inflatable pool?

We purchased an inflatable pool for our family. It is not huge; the "swim" area is 8ft by 4 ft and it holds 289 gallons of water. It does not have a pump. Obviously with that much water I don't wan't to change the water often. We have a debris cover and we have a net to catch stray debris. I also purchased some pool shock for these types of pools. Now, even with all our care the water is still murky. How can I maintain the water?

Have your water tested at a pool place to see what your water is lacking. Pumps help out ALOT as far as vacuuming them out. Ask your pool store. YOu might have to empty it every so often since you don't have a pump with filter.
